Got a nice not so little sample set off the new Wicked Detail range courtesy of the very kind Mr DeLorenzo :D He also mentioned that the new range should be available in the next few weeks through Simon Murray at SM Designs. By the way I didn't get charged any import duty ;)

Simon has told me that Wicked Detail will be available in three to four weeks and I shall be ordering as soon as its available.

No one is selling it as yet, not even America.

i was fortunate enough to be sent the whole colour range by Dennis and no i didnt ask LOL and yes i got stung for duty [bastard]

i have had a limited play with it ,it seems to have a very ink like quality to it and the fade out ability is supremly good ,im still playing around with reduction rates air pressure etc as it is a bit different to the stock wicked

i suspect it could be worked like candy dye as the transparancy is excelent

i will or rather should have sent some to beej to play with but with family visitors and this poxy royal mail strike it just hasnt happened yet

sorry mate i will get it out to you ASAP

personaly i think it is a very welcome addition to thier range giveing even more versatiliy to an already versatile product

hopefully there should be some good feedback from John Dillon and lorena Straffi who have also been sent samples ,i spoke to John last week and Lorena in particular wants to get away from solvents and into the friendlier waterbased systems

John and lorena are in a worse position than most for autoair supplies as they are currently in Italy where there are no dealers for the product at all

well so far i havent been let down by any of the new products that Dennis has been involved with since he arived at autoair which seemed to turn the tide for them as in all honesty pre autoborne and wicked i would never have used thier products again

the one product i hope Dennis can turnaround is thier candy range for a true dye based waterbased system ,i know he is currently playing around with dyes and binders so fingers crossed on that one

the colours really do vary a lot depending on the basecoat.

they will do being highly transparant the only way to stop that is to buffer them with white to the values required

i think some colours would make excelent candy substitutes ,they may even be better than the actual AA candies as its all pigmented ink anyway
