i knew i spelt ouija wrong LOL yep classic case of overaplication and locking a soft uncured material under a harder one this is a big danger with custom painting and also a lot of folk are under the misguided belief that thicker is better ,it isnt Paul |

well i think one problem starting out is you see a liquid like shine, and it looks like someone has poured a layer of glass on top of a paintjob... so naturally you think the clear is thick, and that is what makes it have that luster glaze. Sorry to hear about that job svee, that must have really sucked bollocks. I wouldn't even know where to start in fixing a job that went like that. |

another problem not yet mentioned is fuel.... if you use 1k clear on a petrol tank then the first time the guy spills it the whole thing is ruined.... with 2k its solvent resistent... i use 1k on display stuff ,but all paying customers get 2k.....

hey paul, seen lots of sound advice from you on this site, can you tell me what clear you are getting for 30 quid including hardner. i am currently using lesonal 420 HS which i find is as good as most out there and not expensive at 120 for 9 litres mixed. |
