Dan, yes, I did think about MDF but I wasn't sure what it would be like under a solvent based primer  So I really appreciate the heads up on the waterproof MDF  especially armed with the knowledge that it works well with solvent based paints. Can almost guaranteed now that I'll be looking into the availability of waterproof MDF up here in Orkney before the day is out!!!  I'm thinking probably Jewsons will stock it............Hmmmmmm...... Much appreciated Jim |
