AND ANOTHER THING!!!!!! When people show work on here (and other sites). People always comment on the positives, now that is sweet and nice, but I can't learn from that. If I do something from now on, and a bit of it is crap. PLEASE TELL ME!!

Like this... "Dear Jeff, nice image, well most of it, but that jaw line is shit, and the eyes are wrong! In fact the whole thing is CRAP!

Then give me some direction, or ideas. That would be great!

Not like other AB sites,,, "Thats nice, blah blah.... bore bore.. I really like the shade of black you used on the thumbprint in the top right corner"

Lets be honest, yet positive.

Sorry guys, been to the pub, first time in 8 weeks :toast:

:) You know, you must be on the same stuff I was on a few months back when I wrote that I was so sick n tired of reading all that, 'will look great when it's cleared mate' bullshit that it simply doesn't help anyone. There is a simple reason too I have been off the site for such lomg periods of time, I have spent ALL of this year so far getting past and working thru all that shit I had last year in Bournemouth and I have simply had my head down and worked hard at daves paintshop and taught the classes . . praying that those bastards hadn't ruined my reputation and what I had worked so hard for for the past 5 years . .

I have been trying to raise money to put time into AirbrushArtTV and to get the DVD edited as I do all this stuff on me own! I have found a guy who is a customer who is interested in helping and I have been working every hr God sends to keep it all afloat.

I am also moving house/studio/workshop for a final time in October to Cornwall, again, that was why I did the Cornwall class tests back in May and June and I now have a fantastic gallery/studio/classroom set up in St Mawes and plan to launch the Organic Image School of Airbrush Art & Illustration on a full time basis, no more bikes. . . I know, it may sound like big news to some but believe me, it has been REAL HARD keeping all this to myself for over a year as you all know . . I love to talk! :)

But your wonderfully honest post dragged the Artists Way soul out of me and I simply had to come back with this stuff - thanks Jeff :)

This year for me has been the re-building year and to be honest, to be asked to teach the class with Fraser and Vandemon was amazing and REALLY, really helped me gain the confidence I had robbed from me. The students feedback (and the looong, long talks I had with Fraser over the odd beer!) has been incredible and it has been the final booster I needed to solidify this final move in my/our(my family)'s life. It's been a tough year and a half but with support from my wonderful wife, from here, friends I have via students and members, folks like Dewi & Cal, Pete Aspec, Svee, Stu and many, many others, it has made the creative trip all worthwhile.

We are now awaiting confirmation on the house we are moving to so I will let you know but we plan to go in October. We will have new classes in St Mawes from November onwards and plan to have a weekly running airbrush school so you don't have to always worry about when you can come, classes will be every week (dates permitting) and to support this I will be filming LOTS of personal projects on canvas and metal and working very hard on airbrusharttv.com.

I am going to to go back to my portraiture/fantasy heavily and will be specialising in portrait classes and illustration-based airbrushing, seascapes and lanscapes and in Cornwall, you have all the inspiration you will ever need. The family owns a Pilot Cutter in the bay at St Mawes and Uncle Adam is the skipper so we have ideas to make sailing and painting holidays next summer too.

There is lots more to tell so I will keep you posted and Jeff, because I have had no time at all to spend on the PC, I was going to be looking at renewals over the next few weeks actually :) but I DO appreciate your honesty bud, thank you.

Very interested in the duplicating DVD info, will talk to you on that soon as I am going to take the time to edit the 50Gigs of video I have!! I will then have a finished piece to render out either for flash-based FLV's and AirbrushArtTV and also, can go to DVD production with it as it's all shot in hi-res widescreen.

So . . thank you for dragging that out of me :)

More soon

Don't know what to say :Beej: , except I really honestly wish you all the very best in your move. Your plans sound fantastic, and I hope they all come to fruition!

During my introduction to you during the two day course, I picked up a bit of the tale of last year, and I think both the Fraser/Vandemon/Curtis masterclass, and the popularity of the site, with it's excellent community are testament to the fact that your reputation is nowhere near being damaged!

I, like Jeff, was toying with the idea of graphics before I took your class, and now I've got the AB 'bug' and, as you'll hopefully see by the end of the weekend (in the Gallery), have just completed a freehand skull to a standard I never thought I'd reach!

Again, looking forward to hearing more of your plans, and how they have been (in time) executed.

Clive :copter:

St Mawes, that a hell of a flight for some aerobatics!

See you soon for some tuition, and good cornish air!

Thanks Clive, appreciated bud :) Looking forward to seeing the pics when you are done and any time mate, you are always welcome and their is a field behind Adam's house where a few copters have landed when famous folk have visited town such as Rowan Atkinson ()who was a pain in the arse and real rude apparently) and I think Pierce Brosnan and family came by helicopter but I do know that Adam took them out on the boat for a holiday, how cool is that!

PS: We better move this whole diverted post elsewhere from now on, I'll start another one in the Chat Area about moving to Cornwall . . .
