hi guys , only just tried the hok white for detail last nite, had to reduce it by more than half, but imagine my surprise when i was able to pull the tightest dagger strokes ever, my god it came out of the micron smooth and predictable, unlike aa white which just shoots out in a blob ,has anyone else tried this white and how does it compare to ppg thanks

Thats solvents for ya! Beej says the PPG White is the best u can get for detail and who is to argue with that! lol dunno if you can still get PPG Deltron White in a solvent or not as its a automotive paint not a "custom" paint. for us mear mortals i dont think we would be able to notice the fine diffrence between the two very good quality paints. glad your happy with the HOK. Kind Regards Tom |

I am looking forward to using some, just stocked up with supplies from the States while I was there. Got a 40 bottle starter kit. As well as 12 Mack brushes, 1-shot, pounce wheel & applicator, chalk dust, tape, pens, pencils, sharpies! Loads of stuff! |

i use solvents all the time and find that i get into the habit of pointing my ab away and giving it a blast on a regular basis , the solvent paints are so volatile they clean the tip anyhow

HOK white is OK but PPG is far, far better as it's finer and if you want to stay away from solvents . . you can't beat Etac EFX 500 white to be totally honest, like Tosh said earlier, it's friendlier and it sprays better than HOK white AND you can use it at home too - whey-hey! ![]()
