Personally I think Com-Art is great, from having less dry tip, to the finish on the work not being like sand paper. Fine detail is soooo much easier. I have also used Com-Art for detail over AA and am happy with those results too. So overall a big thumbs up to Com-Art.

com-art for me is like chocolate is to my girlfriend ![]() I usually put just a drop, maybe 10-20% at the most of airbrush cleaner in my com-art to be able to lower the psi for the really small stuff. you just have to make sure you give it a shake now and then if you do, cause it separates (?) quite fast. even without the cleaner the white needs to be stirred if you leave it for a while. it's been said before but lube, lube lube! a drop of super lube on the needle before each session and you'll have very little tip dry. talking about lube, the misssus is sms'ing me from the bedroom now... guess it's bedtime ![]() -Fredrik- |

hey beej, just used com art on some mudgaurds with great results.in the picture attached the petrol tank was painted a couple of years ago with urethane paints and the mudgaurds have only been available now.it was a gamble because they had to match the tank, but with only aa and com art available there was no choice.anyway i used aa for white background and darker areas and com art for the detail using fast reducer to thin both paints.the mudgaurds have now been clear coated with no problems so all is good.i found aa took a bit of getting used to but the com art was great.see what you think? |
