Saw this and thought, hmmm, that might be a semi inexpensive way to make a paint booth. Just have to hook some kind of exhuast up to it and bang yer ready to spray. What you think?

Well you'll get plenty of natural light into it, are you planning on putting this indoors or out? you would get baked outdoors in the summer.

Don't spray Solvents in there, the walls will melt as they are polycarbonate.
Might be ok for waterbased if used as a room within a room i.e. you put the greenhouse somewhere indoors but you wouldn't want to be in it in summer outside that's for sure |

Was definitely thinking indoors but after the comment about the solvent....I didn't think of that. Guess I'll just have to build one. I'm thinking mostly of a nice place to spray clear and not worry about dust, dirt or bugs or the overspray gettting on everything.

I think you could frame, insulate and drywall one cheaper than what you could buy that kit.
I believe Jeff's home job was less expensive than the greenhouse. Now you can get those little metal sheds fairly cheaply too, I have heard of folks using those as well. Tin shed This post has been edited by KatLeib on Mar 10 2010, 01:45 PM |

looks a tad small ,be carefull you arent wasting your money on something that may be impractical size wise as the max height is based on the top of the pitched roof

Nice job on the room Jeff!!!
I was thinking of kind of temporary type of set up in my garage. That looked like I could just take it down and set it back up when needed. I think after reading that maybe I should think some more....hehe. I like the shed idea, might have to look into that, just have to deal with the it being permanent and outdoors. Can't take up too much of the garage, my bike, woodshop, airbrush, wives garden crap, etc. etc. lives there. Are the over all dimensions in that post Jeff? Maybe I could build the room outside. Thanks all |

Good Idea...been thinking more and more about this shed idea and liking it. I'll probably just set it up outside tho. I don't know who I was kidding about setting up and taking down, waaaayyyy too lazy for that |
